Woodend Bowling Club Junior Coaching, June 2013

Woodend Bowling Club Junior Coaching, June 2013

Last Year we won The Sports Council for Glasgow “Development Club of the Year Award 2014” and were finalists in the Sunday Mail/ Sport Scotland “Local Club of Year 2014” category at the Annual Sports Awards The Juniors Section comes to Woodend Bowling Club for assault course bowls, coaching, match play sessions and other different activities throughout the year. The older juniors also help coach the younger juniors. We meet regularly on a Sunday afternoon from 1 to 2pm when most of our coaching takes place. We meet throughout the year. In the summer we are out on the greens playing whilst in the winter we are in the clubhouse playing on two large indoor mats and other equipment. The sessions are split into two 25 minute sessions with a break for a drink and snack/sweets. We have great fun and can have up to 20 juniors taking part. We also run lots of other fun activities and in the last year our Juniors have been involved in the following;

Halloween Party,
Comic Relief and Bake –a-Cake Fundraiser,
