Mini Leagues & Tot’s Tennis

A big thank you to parents, coaches, members and children alike for their patience during the upgrading of our floodlight columns. So far we have managed to keep all group classes running despite being one court down for a couple of weeks.

TOTS tennis returns this week. Class time 1.30-2.15pm. For more info please email me on chrischapman11@hotmail.com.

After the October holiday I plan running mini leagues for our Junior and Intermediate players. Leagues will be short format and wont be contain too many players. All players will be encouraged to play at least once a week during the Autumn/Winter months. Matches will be arranged by the players themselves.

If you are interested in your son or daughter taking part please email me before October 16th. Leagues will be for:

GREEN BALL
U12 BOYS
U14 BOYS
U18 BOYS
U18 GIRLS
U14 GIRLS

A red and orange event mini league afternoon will take place later in the year. More details to follow.

Ladies Doubles Box Leagues Starting Soon!

In September, the club will start monthly box leagues for ladies. Any female club member can enter, you will be put into groups of 6 or 8 players of a similar ability and then paired up. During the month you will play the other pairs in your league; either 2 or 3 matches which you organise yourselves. We will aim to mix up the groups and the pairings each month to encourage a broader network of social and competitive play.

The format will be 2 sets followed by a championship tie break, if necessary. Details and communications will be posted on the tennis notice board in the club.

If you are interested in entering for September, then please add your name, number and email address onto the list in the clubhouse by Monday 25th August.

Any questions, then please contact charlotte-petrie@hotmail.co.uk or carol.nelson1956@ntlworld.com

Grade 4 Ratings Tournament At Hamilton

TOURNAMENT CODE WSC15W0048

The third year of this event runs from Sunday 6th September to Saturday 12th September.

It takes place at Hamilton Tennis Club. The club has excellent facilities including a large modern clubhouse, car parking and top class floodlights. We also have new top grade tennis courts which were fitted earlier this year.

All standards are very welcome. Last year we had players with ratings from 5.2 to 10.2. There will be 3 separate draws split by rating though players in the 2nd and 3rd draws will have an opportunity to advance to the higher draws.

See this link for more details and instructions on how to enter.
