The Gents and Ladies Bowling Sections welcome new members whether beginners or experienced players.
The Juniors Section is fast developing too with great attendance for our Get On The Green - Open Day, Coaching Sessions, Target, Matchplay and Junior Tournaments which we held last year.
Coaching is available at no cost from our qualified coaches at our evening "Social Bowls " events or for juniors at the "Get On The Green" afternoon initiatives sponsored by Taylor Bowls.
Learners can initially be provided with bowls, appropriate footwear and friendly guidance.
There is a full programme of competitions and friendly matches for those who wish to participate, and there are plenty of informal games for those who do not wish to enter competitions.
During the bowling season the green is open for play both in afternoons and evenings.
We offer a friendly atmosphere in which to meet friends and enjoy the game of bowls and the numerous social activities co ordinated throughout the year.
These include horse racing nights, quiz nights, The Woodend Burns Supper, concerts, whist drives or afternoon teas all of which are available both during and outwith the playing season.
